Hello, in this blog, I would like to share my opinion on blogs! I think that blogs are really cool ways to share things with others, whether it be news, stories, research posts, or opinion posts like mine! The cool thing about blogs is that there are blogs for almost everything and anyone can find one that interest them. You can find blogs to read for fun. And you can also find blogs that can help you with your research paper!
One blog I have read and really liked is the British Vogue blog. What I like about this blog is that it is really easy to navigate. If I am interested in runways, one easy click would take me to a whole section where I can see different runways from different designers! I think that this blog was designed this way to make it easier for it's readers to find exactly what they are looking for. Some people may be interested in news and others may be interested in fashion. I believe that in British Vogue, the author wanted to share a vast amount of things about fashion, celebrities, and designers to readers and made it to where all those things were easily accessible. The author's purpose influences his choices regarding diction because they use attention grabbing phrases about the different topics they speak about in the blog to really grab the readers attention.
One blog that I really wasn't a fan of was the Bleacher Report blog. For sports enthusiast, this could be the blog for you! As someone who does not know much about sports, I found this blog hard to navigate. This is not because I do not know about sports, but rather because I feel like each topic does not have very clear titles. The reason why I dislike this is because if I am looking for something in specific and want to know more about, it is not as easy to find. I think if the blog had better organization, the readers eyes wouldn't get lost like mine did at first look. I don't doubt that this blog has great information for sports enthusiast, but I do think that the format of this blog could be made to where it is much easier to read. I believe that in this blog, the author wants to share information about every sport and I think that it influenced the author to use many images of professional sport players. For every topic, the author has a picture and a title regarding the information that is going to be shared. I think that this is a good way to grab the readers attention. Overall, I just feel like the blog can use better organization for a less crowded format.
There are many different styles and formats for blogs, and all of them are enjoyable! Depending on what the purpose of the blog is, I think that it is very important make sure the format and style of the blog match what the authors purpose is. I think all blogs are great and a good way of sharing things with others, and I think it is really cool how we can personalize them to best match what we are trying to share.
Your practice entry looks good and has a nice layout and organization. Instead of dropping the URLs for the blogs you are discussing here, hyperlink them directly to the related words to integrate them effectively into the entry (i.e. on the words "British Vogue" in the first line of the 2nd paragraph). Don't forget to include citation/image source information for any images.
