Entry #10

If you are like me and love to scroll on TikTok , sometimes even for hours, then you'd know how nowadays everybody wants to have their own aesthetic going on. Everyone has different interest so aesthetic could mean different things to people. Usually what I find aesthetic is pictures of people traveling, shopping, dining, outfits, and some other things. Of course it cant just be a normal picture. It has to be good quality. So you have to make sure that if you are taking a picture of something, that the background looks good. If you are taking a picture of an outfit, you have to make sure it's a good one and not wrinkly! Oh and if you are taking a picture of some sort of mess, make sure everything is strategically placed. Medium I feel like the aesthetic culture on TikTok has literally altered the way we do almost everything. Seeing all these perfect things makes us want to be perfect too. The reality is nobody is perfect and every aesthetic picture you see online probably too...

Don't Waste Food! Entry #9

Image
Wasting food is a problem not many people talk about. worldwildlife In this website, it focuses on teaching students to not waste food and other things about helping the world. This specific lesson is designed for teachers so that they can make fun activities for their students to learn about the importance of saving food! I think that it is very important that this gets talked about in school. I think it is important because habits start at an early age and it is vital that children understand that wasting food is not okay. Teaching this to young children could even break the bad habits at home and they could possibly teach a parent about the importance of saving food.  This poster created by World Wild Life, is created for students. As you can see it is children's arms holding food trays. What I liked most about the poster was the context. "Take What You Want. EAT WHAT YOU TAKE". This means literally ONLY get or buy what you will eat.  This is not only a problem in chi...

Before I started school full time, everybody warned me how hard it was going to be to work and do school full time. The reality is that it is not as hard as some people play it out to be. Of course, people have different things going on in life that can definitely make this difficult, but there are ways to make juggling these two things easier while being able to maintain a good social life. In this blog, I will share with you things that I do to help me manage school, work, and my social life. First off, school should always be the number 1 thing before work, and everything else, at least I think it is. So what I do is try to find a day in my week where I can do a lot of my school work so that I am not stressing about assignments all week while being at work or trying to go out. Another thing that helps me is keeping track of when my assignments are due. Usually, all I need to do is look through my due dates and I usually can remember without setting reminders. If you are pretty ...

Entry #7 Fresh

Image
After watching the film Fresh, I started to really think a lot about what I feed my body. I feel like most people including me don't think deeper into our food like where it's coming from or how it was grown. Watching this film was really an eye opener and made me realize that we need to pay more attention to the food we consume. The film Fresh showed how a lot of our food comes from industrial farming that causes a lot of issues to the environment, animals, and humans.  PBS I think that the purpose of this film is to expose the reality of how some of our food is grown and also show how these problems can be avoided by showing alternatives throughout the film. The audience of this film is really for all people who eat food.  Amazon The film does show the unfortunate reality of how our food is grown, but it also shows how some farmers like Joel Salatin and Will Allen have more sustainable farms and treat animals naturally. By doing so, the viewer is able to see that there...
